Head Of Internal Audit

Job Title:  Head of Internal Audit Job Location: Chattogram
Report To:  Board of Directors                

Role Profile:  This role is accountable for defining, planning and rendering effective internal audits across the Group, adopt excellent audit practices, strengthen the functional and financial process and systems of the company, create values and enhance organizational capabilities and image.

Educational Qualification:  CA Qualified and Internal Audit Certification will be considered as an added advantage.

Experience:  10 years of relevant functional and people management experience, preferable in manufacturing industry.          

Job Description:   Review and approve the audit reports prepared by Process/Financial/Information System Audit teams and finalize for submission to Audit Committee / top management.
Define and formulate the policies and SOP for audit across the group as per guidance of Audit Committee.
Define scope, nature and extent of audit for all functions/units.
Set internal controls for financial/process/system/practices across the organization and monitor adherence to it.
Formulate annual plan for audit on Financial/Process and systems/Information Systems based on the Audit committee’s recommendations.
Highlight and recommend solutions and action plan to the audit committee to mitigate further Financial/Process deviations.
Prevent occupational frauds such as misappropriation, corruption and financial statement fraud.
Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of internal accounting procedures/processes and operating systems and controls.
Keep track of the industry’s best practices and comply with the International Internal Auditing Standards (IIAS) and any other applicable framework.  
Ensure development of audit programs, schedules, systems and procedures in order to meet organizational and departmental objectives.
Coordinate with respective units and functions to conduct audit process.
Coordinate with statutory audit and support the process as required.
