Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
 
#Support the Director of Grant Management, GRP in the creation of global policies, procedures and tools relevant to Grant Management including representing Bangladesh views and perspectives to refreshed grant and sub-grant management procedures.
#Support the Director of Grant Management in the embedding of the Grant Management function within and across the Bangladesh Head Office. To be done through deliberate and tailored capacity development plans to Programmes.
#Develop strong relationships across our organization Bangladesh Grant Focal Points including:
Ø Direct supervision of GRP Senior Grant Manager
Ø Direct supervision of the GRP Grant Manager
Ø Support recruitment of Grant Focal Points within Programmes
Ø Provide technical input into Grant Management Staff and Focal Points, either through formal performance objectives or softer coaching
Ø Input into formal performance evaluations or give feedback through softer coaching techniques
Ø Provide regular, ongoing support to Grant Focal Points
Ø Directly manage the Bangladesh Grant Focal Point Community of Practice (COP)
#Build a high performing grant management team across organization Head Office through regular and ongoing capacity building and donor compliance advising to GRP and  Programme Grant Management staff through:
Ø On-the-job training support to select Grant Focal
Ø Workshops on select, strategic topics alone or in collaboration with other Departments
Ø Acting as a real-time advisory capacity = for grant management queries and issues
Ø Facilitation of sharing grant management capacity across Programme and sites to promote opportunity and learning
#Ensure that key staff (including downstream partners) have a clear understanding of donor compliance requirements throughout the project management cycle. This includes serving as an internal control function for organization Bangladesh Programmes through:
Ø Review of donor solicitations from a compliance perspective
Ø Review of high value budgets from a compliance perspective
Ø Review of donor contracts
#Oversee the direct management of organization Bangladesh’s high-risk, multi-sector grant portfolio through application of grant and sub-grant management procedures.
#Work in collaboration with other Departments to ensure grant management inputs to key processes including, inter alia, cost allocation, timesheets, audit responses.
 
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
#Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
#Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Educational Requirements:
Masters or equivalent degree in International Development/ Business Administration/ Finance
Experience Requirements:
·# 10+ years experience in development or related field having core experience in grants management as well as in change management using global standard grant management tools and procedures.
Additional Job Requirements:
#Proven track record of active contribution to senior management team direction, and providing strategic support across multiple sectors and/or regions
#Knowledge of the requirements of major institutional donors including budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management, and reporting; experience of engaging with donors at a strategic level (UNHCR, USAID, GAC, DFAT, DFID)
# Donor compliance knowledge and experience in dotted line management.
 #· Well-developed skills in staff management.
·# Proven coaching and capacity building skills
·#Understanding of the financial aspects of grant management, ability to work with Finance Departments on grant management issues
#Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to analyze trends
 #Computer literate (i.e. Google Suite/ Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, financial systems)
#Patient, adaptable, able to improvise, and communicate clearly and effectively under pressure
·#Fluent communication (written and spoken) in English and Bengali.
 
Salary Range: Negotiable
