Education:
• ACA/ Masters in Accounting / CA (partly qualified) / CACC
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage accounting and finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Establish financial systems and controls, ensuring fiscal integrity and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, local laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for both internal and external audits.
• Oversee Tax, VAT deductions, and submit returns and documentation to government authorities.
• Maintain banking relationships and manage bank reconciliation for all accounts.
• Manage stock status, cash flow, and voucher monitoring for all offices and branches.
• Oversee sales revenue collection through various channels (online payment, bKash, cash, cheque).
• Cost analysis and maximizing product margins.
• Provide cost & benefit Analysis for any new Project and Renewal of all Services/Leases/Annual Contracts that the Management undertakes for decision-making.
• Identify areas of inefficiency, areas of potential cost reduction and take necessary initiatives to improve.
• Assist management with profitability analysis, product pricing, project and process costing, and budgeting.
• Ensure payroll and other benefits payment of Group employees.
• Ensure financial best practices in collaboration with other departments.
• Mentor and supervise the finance and accounts team.
• Risk management and fraud analysis, ensuring no revenue leakages.
• Oversee import LC, export, and customs-related documents and procedures.
• Deal with matters related to Internal Audits, External Audits, Financial Institutes, Tax/VAT Authorities, Company Secretarial and General Accounting Management.
• Implement a proper reporting system for controlling and monitoring all financial transactions.
• Prepare and control financial budgets.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Ensure receivables and payables on time
• Timely preparation, submission and presentation of book of accounts
• Proper fund management for business operations
• Minimize financial risk management
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES:
• Knowledge:
>Indepth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
>Understanding of accounting cycles
>Knowledge of common bookkeeping practices and techniques
>Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes
>Understanding of commercial transaction processes, including invoicing, collections, and payments
>Knowledge of L/C procedures, documentations and international trade regulations related to L/C
>Understanding of audit processes and documentation requirements
>Understanding of banking operations and fund transfer processes
Experience and others:
• At least 12 years’ experience in the accounting field with 5 years in the Supervisory positions (for at least 15 team members).
• Age at least 45 years
