1. To work as product custodian and lead the range building process reflecting companies consumer promise of style, comfort and wow pricing.
2. Demonstrate innovation in technology, comfort and fit.
3. Base product line on simplicity, clean design, good quality, and avoid duplication and over engineering.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
1. Act as a standard bearer for ensuring company products deliver on brand promise(style, comfort, price) consistently and continuously raising the
bar.
2. Ensure product range building process in-line with the "company
Merchandising Process" timelines
3. Provide 2x-3x the required number of lines as described by the assortment
strategy framework prepared by the Merchandising Manager
4. Ensure the key lessons (success and failures) from the previous seasons
are incorporated into the new season range building process
5. The Collection Manager will have a budget (TBD) to procure competition
and reference brands products, visit key fairs to ensure comprehensiveness
in range building process.
6.Partner with central brand and product team to understand new and upcoming
technologies/innovation and incorporate these into the product range
building process.
7. Work with the Merchandising Manager on improving line efficiency without
compromising on required choice (i.e. reduce duplication in lines, improve
QTY per line)
8. Lead the shoe-line review product presentation along with the
Merchandising Manager
9. Work with retail ops and marketing in building stories, talking points
for product groups.
10. Provide Marketing and Visual Merchandise team's necessary key products
details to build stories around, highlight technologies
11. Find new
suppliers, improve cost and product standards with existing ones
